Remember back in the days when Chinese food was actually good? Well, Pig Heaven is a throwback to when spare ribs were mouth-watering, lo mein was greasy-good fun, and your spring rolls were something other than pre-fab flavorless crunch. Everything I tried was really above average. The only drawback is you pay for it - literally. It's very expensive! I think it's worth it for an occasional splurge.

I have been looking for a good place on the UES for the past year since my favorite Chinese restaurant Chef Hos closed down, and Pig Heaven is the closest Ive had to that! I wasnt expecting much to be completely honest, but boy was I wrong, the food is absolutely delicious! I can see Pig Heaven becoming a habit now!

Some of the best dang ribs I've ever had, I'm going to have to keep this place on file as "where I want to order if I'm in the mood to be destroyed with meat." My only criticism is that I asked for the deliveryperson to call instead of knocking so the dogs wouldn't bark, but they didn't :/

Orange beef may not be the cheapest but i always found it to be worth the price increase from the plain old sesame chicken. the extra spiciness and tangy orange flavors makes the dish much better and you won't get bored of it after half of it.

First time takeout from Pig Heaven and it was great - better than usual fare on UES. Ribs were incredible - they had to be given the restaurants name -meaty and generous large portion. Duck and shrimp dishes also very good.
